my life is so far alright. have been very busy this week with homework and projects and TESTS too!


i'm so happy it's the end of the week. so anyway, here are some pictures i took.


one thing about the qatari people is that they LOVE sweet stuff. there's this pastry shop selling all the SWEET pastries and they onli sell it PER KG. like WHO THE HECK eats that many sweets la. even a sweet fanatic like me would say that it's TOO sweet and i can barely finish one pastry.

there's like a river in the middle of the mall. and u can ride a gondola for a few riyals. never been on one. wonder what happens if someone falls into the water. AKAK

the whole place is just so beautiful. but of course what u see is beautiful. the mall, the design and architecture, and clothes... but definitely not the price XD

i told myself that i had to see MY DARLING CUTIE AGAIN! i miss her so much! it's a pity i couldn't bring my dog here. coz the Qataris don't keep any pets except for cats or birds. ='( hope she's fine

and yea. we arrived at the airport and we were overweight by 23kg! @.@ look at our luggages AHAH.

you know, i wish we could be in business class for every trip. but of course i'm not that rich la XD. here is the lounge (waiting room) and you get free food and all.

we got onto the plane and this 'thing' was quite unusual. i was wondering how it worked until i pressed on of the buttons and suddenly my chair started moving and it became so low like a bed XD SYOK HAHA

YOU think business class got HIGHER CLASS FOOD AH? yee yer. this was what i had for breakfast and it tasted farnie. like eating ice cream with rojak ><

well, because they are building a BIGGER airport about 3 TIMES THE SIZE OF KLIA. it's still under construction and we landed in this temporary airport which is quite small. so we had to come down this stairs and walk to one bus which transports us to the airport to go for our immigration.

our bags arrived kinda late. but luckily we managed to get all of 'em.

this is the qatar airport. so mafan lor. when you collect your luggages and walk out, u're already OUTSIDE and it's freaking hot. people who wear glasses (as myself =P) will get their specs all fogged up and some more they all so smart go and put the entrance in front of the road. so when you come out of the entrance, got some cars just ZOOM past you without stopping. @.@ HAIYOH

as soon as you drive out of the airport, you'll see this building with KING EMIR on it and some words above him : 'WELCOME TO QATAR.' quite interesting they do that. just imagine BADAWI'S face on the building and words like 'WELCOME TO MALAYSIA.' haha. what a laugh XD

so if you're wondering where i live, this is it. i know it looks pretty big and all but unfortunately my DEARS, i only live on the second floor. it's like a townhouse. WEE~*jumps into the pool*

and i've just started the second week of school. the first day was so frustrating cause my BUS came late and i also ENDED UP LATE and i missed a lot of things like getting my schedule and all. and by th time i got there, it was already assembly and i didn't know what was going on. and we don't really have a proper hall, so we have assembly in the cafeteria. SO ANYWAY, i had to run all over the place to find this teacher called Ms Woodley to get my schedule. she looked like PROFESSOR MCGONAGALL of harry potter but a little scarier.@.@

this is how my cafeteria looks like. i always call those lights 'MOONS'. haha. but i don't buy anything from the cafeteria. it's like STARBUCKS and also EXPENSIVE LIKE STARBUCKS. ONE FREAKING SANDWICH COSTS RM 15 MAN. AND ONE COFFEE IS LIKE RM 10. GILA SIAO.

i wanted to take more pics but then you're not allowed to use your handphone at school. so i don't wanna take any risks.

americans are very punctual actually. when they say they want your homework tomorrow, they MEAN it. they won't keep delaying and delaying. but i'm so used to that XD. i met a lot of people. Erica, a girl from Texas and Zara from Canada, they're all actually really friendly.

so anyway, i'm taking english, history, chemistry, algebra 2, drama, PE and spanish. the teachers are really interesting cause they talk about a lot of different things besides just reading from the textbook all the time.

i feel so smart in algebra 2. XD it's like learning form 2 stuff all over again HEE HEE.

well, it was my birthday last week. and honestly i was kinda lonely cause it was my sweet sixteen and i don't really have friends who wished me. actually no one wished me but my parents and my friends from malaysia. thanks guys! =)

i was miserable. and my parents noticed and asked me. i told them i felt lonely and that it was the WORST BIRTHDAY and i think they got offended. my parents are always trying to cheer me up instead of rubbing it in and making it feel worse. its true when my dad said 'everyday IS your birthday.' i felt bad and spoilt. actually i AM SPOILT. my parents pamper me a lot cause i guess i'm the only child now cause my sis is in Melbourne. but i shouldn't have said that. i wanted to say sorry. but i was really emo at that time and as i said, i was miserable.

WHY IS IT SO HARD TO SAY SORRY? and have you ever thought when was the last time YOU said sorry to your parents? have you ever thought how much your parents have sacrificed to bring you up? have you ever thought how much you mean to your parents if anything ever happened to you?... really. i can't even think when was the last time i said sorry.

first week of skl

the first week of school was exciting. =)

sorry i haven't been blogging very often. i had homework and PROJECTS on the FIRST DAY of school. can you believe that? *sigh*

i'm the onli asian kid around. i'm surrounded by white kids. so far i've seen a guy that looks like jesse mccalfe and a guy who looks like cedric diggory of harry potter. XD

i have school tomorrow and i have to go out now. my school is from sundays to thursdays here. still trying to get used to that.

ORIENTATION

miss me? HAHA. i know you do. X)

i went to the AMERICAN SCHOOL OF DOHA for my ORIENTATION. it's really such a beautiful school! it just went under a massive renovation. the whole place is so modern and nice.

well, i met a lot of people. the students are like 100% different from students back in malaysia. coz we are allowed to wear anything we want to wear and the girls doll up to school wearing all the nice nice clothes. of course if there are HAWT girls, there are also HAWT guys la. HAHA. they are totally different from the guys in SRI GARDEN. the 16 and 17 year olds are DAMN TALL AND MUSCULAR. they're all like one head taller than me! OMG. I FEEL SO SHORT! T.T. and the girls wear high heels. they were all shocked when i told them we're not allowed to put any make up on, or wear whatever we wanna wear, or colour our hair back in malaysia. and i'm taking 7 subjects! EHEHE. wanted to take more but the registration lady said i can't. HAIZ.

i was the only ASIAN there. i was surrounded by white kids. but it was interesting coz everyone are from different countries and there were so many types of people. it's a whole new experience for me as i have never been into an international school before. i met a lot of new people and they're all so nice.

i know it's surprising but ROB-B-HOOD just got released in the cinemas NOW. after so long. and they DUBBED it into english. it's not in cantonese. and speaking of movies, the cinema is so big and the chairs are sooo comfortable. buying one cup of COKE is like 7 riyals which is about RM7. so expensive right? SIAO LOR. eventhough everything is tax free, some stuff here are still expensive mainly clothes and food. maybe coz everything is imported from england. so anyway, i watched the BOURNE ULTIMATUM and i was kinda blur at the beginning of the movie. but i really liked it so i would rate it 9/10! MATT DAMON ROCKS MY SOCKS WOO HOO! XD

i don't really come online often coz i'm still stuck in the HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HOLLOWS BOOK. i know i'm slow la. don't need to say it. XD. i find it crazy how some really siao harry potter fans can finish the book within 2 days. I CAN'T READ THAT FAST! and i only bought the book when i came here. and the bookstore was FULL of harry potter books. the local people don't read harry potter. so anyway, i bought it for QAR $99. so in a way i bought it for about RM99 also lah. although back in malaysia you can get it at RM69.99 in Tesco or Carrefour, right? but the original price is about RM109.99. on the first day the book was released, EVERYONE RUSHED TO GET THEIR HANDS ON IT. but over here ah, nobody rushed for it HAHA.

things here are different. need to get used to the policies here. RAMADAN is coming soon and there are strict rules the non-muslims have to obey :
1. non-muslims are NOT allowed to eat or drink in public.
2. non-muslims are NOT allowed to wear clothes that are too revealing.
3. non-muslims are NOT allowed to use vulgar words.

well, i can't remember the rest but i think these are the main rules you have to obey during the ramadan month. we have to respect it since we are in their country. but i don't mind. all the restaurants and shops will be closed during 'puasa' and i finish school earlier too.

will go off now. wanna continue wif my harry potter. XD
