CHEFS

Do you know what I would like to talk about today?

FOOOD!

delicious, delicious, and OH SO SWEET, food!

And who creates this so-called food?

GOOD CHEFS + GOOD SKILLS = GOOD FOOD = FAT PEOPLE = THE WORLD WILL SINK XD

We eat a LOT of things without even thinking of the beauty and passion the chef puts into the food. The most important ingredient, is of course, L.O.V.E. A person needs passion and LOVE to create th ART of FOOD. Without L.O.V.E,... the food has NO taste, NO style.

It is good that people know chefs because without these special people, our life would be empty without delicious and yummilicious food. Our life would be DULL and UNHAPPY. Our life would be FULL OF SORROW and SADNESS. Our life would be... omg excuse moi for being so dramatic.

LET'S START WITH...

JAMIE OLIVER

James Trevor Oliver MBE (May 27, 1975), better known as Jamie Oliver and nicknamed The Naked Chef, is an English celebrity chef. He is well known for his role in campaigning against processed foods in British schools. Since his early years, his Essex (East Anglian) accent, which is often described as "mockney" or "fake cockney", has become infamous - particularly the use of the hindi word "pukka" (colloquially meaning "brilliant" or "solid", originally "cooked" or "ripe"). Oliver is reported to be worth an estimated £25 million.

I remember those days back home in my house, I used to watch his show called "Oliver's Twist" with my mum and she would jot down a few recipes. He has a very funny way of describing things, especially with his English accent. Truly a passionate chef! A+! =D

NIGELLA LAWSON

Nigella Lucy Lawson (born January 6, 1960) is an English journalist, food writer, broadcaster and television presenter. After graduating from Oxford, Lawson worked as a book reviewer and soon became the deputy literary editor of The Sunday Times in 1986.
In 1998 she wrote her first cookery book entitled How to Eat which became an instant bestseller. Lawson wrote her second bestselling book, How to be a Domestic Goddess in 2000, winning her a prestigious British Book Award.
Her career progressed in the United Kingdom in 2000 when she hosted the successful Channel 4 cookery programme, Nigella Bites, which was accompanied with another bestseller. She also hosted a less successful chat show on ITV in 2005, which was followed by two highly successful cookery series on BBC Two. Lawson also enjoys a flourishing career in the United States where Nigella Feasts has been aired. Her own cookware range is reportedly worth £7 million a year, and she has sold nearly 3 million cookery books worldwide.

Not really my favourite chef, but still, she isn't bad. I love her kitchen and her utensils because it's more modern than the rest of the chefs. There was one time I remember she PUT CHINESE CHILLI SAUCE ON VANILLA ICE-CREAM. IS SHE MAD??? and she mix rice with bolognese sauce(tomato sauce mixed with beef). she's insane. no wonder her kids are so thin.

KYLIE KWONG

Kylie Kwong (born 1969 in Australia), is a prominent Australian television chef, author, television presenter and restaurateur.
As a fifth generation Australasian, she learned the art and fundamentals of Cantonese cooking, by her mother's side. She undertook much of her apprenticeship at Neil Perry's Rockpool and Wokpool and then at Restaurant Manifredi.
Kylie Kwong has since opened the appropriately labelled 'Billy Kwong' restaurant, her first, in the Sydney suburb of Surry Hills and is not, as some people think, named after Kylie's father but rather a result of her partnership with Sydney celebrity chef Bill Granger. Kwong is currently the sole owner, but kept the name because it fit the place.

A chinese with a thick Australian accent. Wow. She's famous for her signature black frame glasses and cooking competitions with her mum. At one time she was fined $ AU 750 for drink-driving. Was she trying to differenciate alcohol with ABC sauce?... but anyway, she's not a bad chef.

AMY BEH

Amy has had a lifelong passion for good food and easy cooking with everyday ingredients. Despite more than 40 years of perfecting her cooking skills, she continues to expand her culinary portfolio of activities. Amy is the author of three cookbooks, At Home With Amy Beh 1 and 2 and her latest effort, Nyonya Baba Cuisine, which features her own mouth-watering recipes. She has a regular weekly column in the STAR newspaper as well as in the STAR Online Cyberkuali. She has also appeared in cooking shows on television as well as culinary tours. In recognition of her experience, she has been invited to sit on judging panels of international culinary competitions including Culinaire Malaysia, Penang's Battle of the Chefs and the prestigious Hospitality Asia Platinum Awards.

AH! Our very own MALAYSIAN CHEF! I'm pretty sure most of you have seen her recipe in The Star. My mum has her cookbook and it's really GOOD! :D

GORDON RAMSAY

Gordon James Ramsay, OBE (born November 8, 1966 in Johnstone, Scotland) is a celebrity chef, television personality and entrepreneur. He has been awarded a total of twelve Michelin stars[1], and is currently one of only three chefs in the UK whose restaurant is rated at three Michelin stars. He is famous in the UK for presenting TV programmes about competitive cookery and food such as Hell's Kitchen and The F-Word. He is best known in the United States as the host of FOX's Hell's Kitchen, which premiered in May 2005, and of Kitchen Nightmares, which premiered in September 2007, based on his successful British show Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares.

RAMSAY. MY PERSONAL FAVOURITE. Wonder why I put his name in RED? I watch his shows : Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares and Hell's Kitchen. One in a million chefs, this one. He curses A LOT! everytime it's on, the first word he'll say is f*ck! and you can hear soooo many beeps.

Very hard chef to please. I think Jamie Oliver and him were in a cooking competition once, and this devil here won. The way he curses just amazes me and it normally puts off a lot of people.

But his cruelty and sarcasm just makes me wanna watch his shows! =)

RACHAEL RAY

Rachael Domenica Ray (born August 25, 1968 in Glens Falls, New York[1][2]) is an Emmy-award winning television personality and author, who currently hosts the syndicated talk/lifestyle program Rachael Ray and two Food Network series, 30 Minute Meals and Rachael Ray's Tasty Travels. Ray has also written a series of cookbooks based on the 30 Minute Meals concept, and launched a magazine, Every Day with Rachael Ray, in 2005.
Prior to the launch of her talk show, Ray hosted three other Food Network shows, 30 Minute Meals, $40 a Day, and Inside Dish.

She was one of the many people discovered by OPRAH. Her cook show is more like a reality show coz she invites celebrities to cook with her. Watch her show pretty often. She puts MEN CHEFS to shame. And I LIKE that ;)

REMY

Gusteau says, anyone can cook! This rat here, famous for impressing that DRACULA guy with his Ratatouille.

I LOVE REMY! isn't he so adorable!! i wanna hire him as MY chef! =D

Who is YOUR favourite chef?... You pick. =)
