KL summer '09

I remember it like it was just yesterday. I was munching mouthfuls of scrumptious chicken rice and taking sips of chilly yet sweet ice lemon tea...

Wait. It was just yesterday. Aaah, darn it.

Anyway, here are some KL photos! It's a pretty long post and this took me about the whole day. So here you are!

We've been loyal customers for the Trader's Hotel, which is connected to the KL Convention Center. It's a really beautiful hotel and only a few minutes walk from KLCC! The first day I remember having a RM 25 buffet breakfast(need to get a special priviledge card for this)! Everything was so delicious...

My mum and dad booked another room (can understand why lolz) and I stayed with my sista!

Nice bathroom :)

We had the KLCC view so I did not seize the opportunity to take a shot :D

Li-Shan's hand king kong! haha

Hello, beautiful :)

KLCC park!

I'm sure most of you are familiar with the one and only Sky Bar, which is on the 33rd floor of Trader's. Bar during the night, private swimming pool during the day!

My sista had a swim while I took some pics :D

It's actually really empty during the daytime, unlike the fully crowded Sky Bar at night.

View from Sky Bar :)

Kiddy poool!

This is me before I had a hair cut

My friends from the American School of Doha were in KL, so we met up in Midvalley!

Sarah Sayaang! :)
Rojak + Cendol + Ais kacang = TRIPLE HAPPINESS!!

After eating our yummy Malaysian desserts, we headed off to the Fish Spa where fish will nibble on your feet. It costs about RM 38 for half an hour. It took me a while to get used to it but Sarah and Francis seemed to really enjoy it!

Francis enjoying the fish kissing his feet :P

My pink nail polish hee hee

We started out with the really tiny fish, which was the most ticklish. I liked the medium fish but the large fish...

The large fish could've bit your whole toe off! It was painful. Could feel its teeth sinking into your skin! I think I squished some fishes a few times.

"Hei Amma, boil the water and our dinner is ledi"

After spending 3 nights at the Trader's Hotel, we moved in to our VERY OWN HOME which is 5 minutes away from KLCC!

My parents' bathroom :D
The living room. We had to galavant for furniture, leading us to many places over and over again i.e The Curve, Ikea, various electronic shops for the T.V and DVD player.
Queen sized bed for the queen :D

After getting most of the housey stuff done, I finally had time to go out with my friends :)

Stef, Mira and meee~

the goody bad ass boys lolz

We met up with a friend we met on the Nile cruise in Egypt. So Jiejie and I took her around Pavilion :)
Irene and Jiejie and me :D

Trying to imitate the "Milk" ad lolz

With the swimming pool! <3 onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlB2ccBtzeDweqE9HtV1uq6o8wCz-Lk3zwDwy353wayj161mSQcBzi4FnXy36RV4pMikrtkukHV7v7qVenxTvz9k84WT-z_nOseOk7HnJXh8LwYagWDyLW7tqXrdL_C7312o1spFoSsbd3/s1600-h/IMG_5684.JPG">This is what sisters are for... Right?

Then we went over to our cousin's place.

The kiddy room.
Me being a kid. haha

Eventhough we just settled in our new home, there were a lot of stuff in storage we had to get rid of. Like my sister's medals/trophies/prizes.

Aaaaaww, don't be sad Jiejie. It's only 92 medals! So cheer up :) HAHAHA
80 are gold if I'm not mistaken.

Mum wasn't around that day, so we headed to Marche, again at The Curve.

I like udder.

We went back to Papa's hometown in Pahang to see my Grandmama and uncle and cousins.

Thank God that isn't a water balloon!

We bought those tubes of "gel" that you blow and turns into a bubble... Don't really know how to call it XD
So me and Jiejie got excited and started blowing!... BUBBLES LAH

YEEHEE BUBBLE

On our way back, there were many durian stalls at the side of the road.

durian...
DuRiAn!!
DUUUURIIIAAAANNN!!!!

Well, I'm not as crazy about it as my mum. Really.

Had our first house warming with Jessica and family :D

:D
The girls!
There is never a time when Malaysians don't think about food. We're always thinking of what we're going to eat. JUST ADMIT IT!

We went to this Italian restaurant in some secluded place... Really nice dessert!

Hmm... tiramisu makes me miss you!

Jiejie's friends she met while in Illinois came to KL! So we met up with them too :D

We went to Changkat Bukit Bintang, a street of baaarrsss

It was my first time stepping into a bar (as you all know I am really that pure and innocent :D). First was some Irish Bar for a few drinks. Then we went to a Spanish bar called Pinchoa.

I don't know if you can really see in this picture, but I honestly felt like the youngest in that place! There were 40-year-old people dancing like crazy in sexy outfits, no kidding!

So I just sat down and had some coke (THE DRINK)

Carol and I :D

We went back quite late that night. The next day I was so lethargic. Bad feeling.

:D :D SISTAS
Jiejie posing :D

Mummy's birthday came and she invited some of her closest friends.
KUIH I LIKE

Only one candle on the cake (unknown age lolz)

me and jess camwhoring again :D

It's kinda like a tradition that Mum and her old classmates reunite and have sum fuunnn :)
By the pool
Gorgeous!
I was actually second youngest that night! Kim is one of my Mum's friend's daughters.

We ate at this place called El Cerdo (Changkat Bukit Bintang) and everything that they served had PORK in it (except the dessert). They brought us there coz they figured how pork deprived we've been lolz
Mine and Kim's drink :D
piggy wiggies
Me gusta comer paella! (F.Y.I it's pronounced as PA-E-YAA)

THE MOST DELICIOUS DESSERT! strawberry sorbet with strawberry syrup. YUMS!

Enjoying her dessert :D

Piggy lisa
It was a very interesting experience.

This is a gay bar on Fridays :) Guys remember that!

When we had our house cleaned up, I decided to invite some friends over to my new apartment. I invited 14 people but only 5 turned up.

My brownies :D
Yi Xin and Wei Zhong were the first to join

An hour and a half later... Suki and Howard. Howard's tire pancit XD (actually traffic jam. Sorry for the mistake Howard!)

YI XIN :D :D

Went down to the pool and took some pics :)
Wei Zhong and his heavy but awesome camera!
Me and Suki :D
As Suki quotes on HIS blog, I have a sugar rush in here. TRUE but I always have sugar rushes!

JUMP!
Wei Zhong, me and Howard's butt :P

Dunno what weird pose Suki is doing.

YELLOW YAY
Jessica and me!
My apartment :) 33 storeys high.

Went to the gym and goofed around

Howard's peace sign and Suki's *cough* LAME pose :D

Can't bring back to Doha... unless you wanna be deported and jailed :)

MORE PIGGIES!
Before Howard came to pick me up for lunch lolz

Howard can drive better than my mum XD (Mummy I'm just kidding!)

We went to some secluded place in Pudu with all sorts of chicken rice except roasted chicken rice. The restaurant had a very strange menu of drinks.

I had a "Make Love" and Howard had a "One Night Stand" lolz

It was a free day for Suki and Howard finished college early, so we headed back to mine.

On the weird yin and yang chair :D

Trying to get into the picture!
This is the last picture I took before I came back here :(. ANGKUU!

I was eating chicken rice almost everyday and I don't even have one picture of it. Probably because it's always gone before I can actually take a photo of it :D

I really enjoyed this holiday. If only I could stay there forever! But I'm going to Melbourne next month so I need to get back to packing.

Till next time!

P.S Credits to Mr. How Wei Zhong for the awesome pictures! He's up for hire as a personal photographer, RM 100 per picture. HAHAHAHAHAHA.
